How Much Does a Contractor Website Cost?

A straight answer, with the ranges and what actually drives the price.

A basic template site from a website builder can run anywhere from a few hundred dollars to about $1,500. A custom-built, done-for-you site from a freelancer or small studio typically runs $1,500–$5,000+, depending on how many pages, how much content strategy, and how much ongoing support is included.

The number that matters more than the sticker price is what the site actually does after it's live. A $500 template site that nobody optimizes for local search or lead capture can cost you far more in lost jobs than a $2,500 site built specifically to rank and convert.

For most remodeling businesses, a done-for-you package that bundles the website with local SEO setup and automatic follow-up - rather than the website alone - is the better spend, because a fast site with no follow-up system still loses leads to slow replies.
