Service and City Pages, Explained for Remodelers

The single website structure change that moves the needle most.

A single generic "Services" page listing everything you do is one of the most common reasons a remodeler website fails to rank. Google needs a dedicated page per major service, ideally per service-plus-location combination - "Kitchen Remodeling in Plano, TX" is a page that can rank for that specific search; a paragraph about kitchens buried inside a general services page usually can't.

The practical build-out: one page per core service (kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, whatever else you offer) and, where you have real coverage, one page per major city or metro you serve - each with genuinely unique content, not the same paragraph with the location swapped, which risks looking like thin doorway content to Google.
